I’m exhibiting in this show in a couple of weeks and am feeling pretty excited about it. I’ll have some new works on show including the Munich picture above which is a bit experimental for me, although the basic idea is one I’ve been working on for some time, it is almost a duotone and, along with that, is my first attempt at painting a sunset. It shows a popular square in central Munich where Paulette and I had a delicious dessert while I sketched the scene from which the painting evolved. Within a few minutes we were engulfed by the most dramatic thunderstorm and fled back to our hotel which was, thankfully, nearby.
