Despite Canterbury’s weather being less than great this summer Paulette and I have had a great time. Paintings have sold pretty well, with sales at the Culverden Gallery, at the recent WAI (Waikuku Artists Incorporated) exhibition and a number of commissions. A few recent works are shown below.
However the big news is that I am off to the Netherlands in May/June for a cycling/painting holiday. The plan is that I should cycle two or three (well occasionally maybe four) hours each day, find myself somewhere to stay then produce a painting. While I have been producing larger watercolour works recently the plan is to go back to quick and loose pen and wash paintings while I’m away. I’ve always felt that that sort of work is what I do best anyway.
Watch out for posts during the trip!
